Mr. Kobayashi is a Managing Director and the Representative Director of Aetos Japan LLC, leading acquisitions and asset management activities for the firm in Japan. Mr. Kobayashi has approximately 20 years’ experience in the Japanese property market working in asset management, brokerage, advisory and development across a wide variety of asset classes including multi-family residential, office and logistics, transacting approximately JPY66 billion. Prior experience includes an asset manager and investor relation’s role at Mi-Casa Asset Management Inc. (currently Daiwa Real Estate Asset Management Co., Ltd.), an asset management company for the residential REIT called Japan Rental Housing Investments Inc (currently Daiwa Securities Living Investment Corporation), Corporate Sales and Brokerage Division at Mitsubishi Real Estate Services Co., Ltd., and an asset manager at GE Real Estate Corporation. Mr. Kobayashi received Bachelor of Art in International Relations, International Cooperation & Development from Ritsumeikan University and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Enterprise Management from American University. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Japan.
